As the North American headquarters for G-TEKT Corporation, Jefferson Industries actively participates in the Global Automotive Industry. As part of our involvement, Jefferson Industries Corporation offers design and development for press dies and other tools necessary to produce automotive products. We embrace programs for product development including product design review and Advanced Product Quality Planning. Our facilities support high quality product manufacturing, and we provide a timely and flexible approach to meeting the needs of our customers.
We are actively seeking a Production Coordinator to join our Stamping Department on 1st Shift (core schedule, Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm)

This will prepare the individual for potential future positions as the business needs require and the individual demonstrates their contribution and potential.
Your position is responsible for providing professional and dependable service and to
develop our Team's capability to deliver JIC's key objectives to all our customers and
suppliers. You will have a complete understanding of all customer/supplier requirements.
Your understanding of JIC's Management Policy "To become the best supplier" through our philosophy and guiding principles "Safety, Morale, Quality, Cost & Delivery" is imperative.
This role will be measured against specific targets as noted in the departmental
business plan.
SUMMARY: PLANS AND DIRECTS ALL ACTIVITIES RELATED TO HOT STAMPING AND LASER CUTTING PRODUCTION. COORDINATOR IS EXPECTED TO MODEL BEHAVIOR REQUIRED FOR JIC ASSOCIATES INCLUDING PROFESSIONALISM, TEAMWORK, JOB PERFORMANCE AND SUPPORT OF MANAGEMENT. THEY MUST CARRY OUT THEIR ROUTINE RESPONSIBILITIES AS WELL AS OTHER ASSIGNED TASKS BY MOTIVATING ASSOCIATES POSITIVELY. PERFORMS THE FOLLOWING DUTIES PERSONALLY OR THROUGH ASSIGNED TEAM LEADERS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
SAFETY
โ€ข Ensures each member of his/her responsible Stamping & Laser Cutting management
team supports safety program by promoting safety, providing training opportunities and
enforcing safety policies.
โ€ข Track and monitor Associate safety to meet established target goals.
โ€ข Apply three reality principles to all work related injuries and property damage.
QUALITY
โ€ข Develops TQM fundamentals into daily management practices throughout the
responsibility area of Stamping Department.
โ€ข Provides the leadership and supervision required to guide the efforts of the Hot
Stamping team.
โ€ข Root Cause should be identified and counter-measured (SNAP).
โ€ข Establish Daily, Weekly & Monthly reviews and reflections using CAPDo.
โ€ข Supports the development and management of operation budget and costs.
โ€ข Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational
manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent
operational delays.
โ€ข Helps to establish and maintain production control and management standards.
โ€ข Verifies that Associates are trained and are following operating standards.
โ€ข Provide guidance to the development of a manufacturing plan, including manpower
requirements, material needs, sub-contract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and
equipment needs.
โ€ข Coordinates activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to
obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
MANAGEMENT
โ€ข Responsible for supervising assigned Team Leaders and Associates of Stamping
and Laser Cutting Operation.
โ€ข Provides guidance and mentorship to operation team members to ensure a high
level of work satisfaction, technical advancement and progress towards individual career goals.
โ€ข Audits the process flow of product through assigned area to ensure production is
on schedule and meeting production efficiency expectations.
โ€ข Audits that assigned associates have received expected operating training and are
following outlined operating and quality standards.
โ€ข Ensures that current team and company initiatives, mission, goals and values
are clear to each team member.
โ€ข Implements current best practices to manage and build a high-performance team.
โ€ข Assists with the development and maintenance of operation business plans to
include all program requirements, including safety, morale, quality, cost and delivery goals.
โ€ข Ensures all established costs, quality and delivery commitments are met
โ€ข Responsible to ensure company communications are delivered and understood
by associates. Communicates upward to appropriate person any Associate concerns and issues.
โ€ข Trains new Associates as required.
โ€ข Demonstrates ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
โ€ข Accepts job assignments and changes in a positive manner; takes responsibility
for own and team's performance and job assignments.
