We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Continuous Improvement Director, based out of our JFK location, to champion process optimization, foster a culture of innovation, and deliver meaningful business results across all of our US units.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives across airline catering operations.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste reduction opportunities to improve productivity and service levels.
  • Analyze and optimize workflows across production, logistics, warehousing, and aircraft catering delivery processes.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring operational challenges.
  • Partner with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to ALL US units to ensure continuous improvement initiatives support food safety, HACCP compliance, and airline customer requirements.
  • Manage improvement projects from planning through implementation, sustainability, and results measurement.
  • Train and coach employees on Lean methodologies, problem-solving tools, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives through labor optimization, waste reduction, and process efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required (Black Belt preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in continuous improvement, manufacturing, food production, aviation, or other high-volume operational environments.
  • Strong analytical, project management, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with experience driving measurable business results through process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced, and time-sensitive operational environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and operational reporting tools.
  • All airport-related positions require applicants to successfully complete the mandatory airport security clearance process for their assigned location. This includes meeting all TSA and U.S. Customs requirements, as outlined in 49 CFR
  • 1542.209, and obtaining the appropriate airport-issued identification badge (e.g., SIDA, AOA, or equivalent), in accordance with local airport authority regulations.
  • Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
