Job description

About SkillSpring

SkillSpring is a workforce development program powered by The New Jewish Home. Founded in 2006, the SkillSpring program has supported New York City youth and young adults from under-resourced schools and communities in pursuit of a career in health care. By training the next generation of high-quality, culturally competent healthcare professionals, SkillSpring generates excitement and enthusiasm for careers serving older adults.

About the Position

SkillSpring, seeks a full-time Outreach and Retention Specialist to lead participant recruitment, engagement, and retention for our Community Resources for Employment and Development Program (“CRED NYC”) Program. Reporting to the CRED NYC Director, the Outreach and Retention Specialist will play a vital role in cultivating partnerships, screening prospective applicants, tracking attendance and participation, and providing individualized support across all phases of the program—from enrollment through job placement and retention.

This position requires trauma-informed engagement strategies and a commitment to culturally responsive service delivery. The successful candidate will have experience working with individuals impacted by systemic inequities, including community violence, housing instability, and long-term unemployment. Flexibility is required, including availability for evening and Saturday programming across multiple SkillSpring sites.
