Job description

Company: Atlanta Diamond Design - Johns Creek, GA

About Us:

We are an established, family-owned fine jewelry store in the heart of Johns Creek, with a multi-generational reputation for craftsmanship, trust, and exceptional customer relationships. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where clients feel like family and our workโ€”from custom design to intricate repairsโ€”is performed with the highest level of in-house expertise.

The Opportunity:

This is more than a sales position; it's an opportunity to build a career in the world of fine jewelry. We are looking for a dedicated and polished professional to become a trusted advisor to our clientele. In this pivotal role, you will have the unique chance to build lasting relationships, make a direct impact on our clients' most cherished moments, and become an integral part of our close-knit team's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all showroom visitors, providing a warm, professional, and luxurious experience.
  • Guide clients through the sales process for our curated collection of fine jewelry.
  • Manage the intake of jewelry repairs, accurately documenting client needs and providing estimates using our standardized pricing system.
  • Operate our Point-of-Sale (POS) system for sales, returns, and client management.
  • Maintain a pristine and inviting showroom appearance.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and care.
Who You Are (Our Ideal Candidate):
  • You have proven experience in a retail or direct client-facing role. You are a "people person" through and through.
  • You possess a warm, professional demeanor with a genuine passion for helping people celebrate life's important moments.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a sharp eye for detail.
  • You are tech-savvy and proficient with computers, including POS systems, MS Word, and professional email correspondence.
  • You demonstrate a high level of integrity, reliability, and personal responsibility.

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience specifically in fine jewelry retail.
  • A foundational understanding of the custom jewelry design process.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly wage ($18 - $24/hr), commensurate with experience. Higher starting wages are reserved for candidates with direct fine jewelry sales experience.
  • A Health Insurance contribution to help with your coverage.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) available to use in your first year.
  • A consistent work-life balance, including holidays off and no late mall hours.
  • A respectful, low-drama work environment where you are treated as a professional partner.
  • A commitment to your professional growth, with potential to support GIA coursework for the right long-term team member.
  • A generous employee discount.
