Job description

We are hiring a Jet-Vac Operator/CCTV Pipeline Inspector to join our wastewater collection system team in the Louisville, KY metro area. This Jet-Vac Operator/CCTV Pipeline Inspector role combines sewer jetting and vacuum truck operations with closed-circuit television pipeline inspection and trenchless CIPP rehabilitation. Candidates with experience in either jetting or CCTV operations are encouraged to apply, though proficiency in both is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities - Jet-Vac Operator/CCTV Pipeline Inspector

  • Operate sewer jet/vac combination trucks to clean and maintain sanitary sewer collection lines, perform service installs, main taps, valve rotation, hydrant flushing, and water distribution line repairs including trenching, pipe setting, backfill, and compaction
  • Perform CCTV camera inspections of sewer and stormwater pipelines for pre- and post-rehabilitation documentation, and execute CIPP rehabilitation including access prep, bypass pumping, liner wet-out, inversion or pull-in installation, steam/UV cure, and post-cure quality assurance
  • Construct and repair sewer collection systems by laying services, performing dye tests, jet cleaning lines, and raising/sealing manholes with appropriate traffic control measures
  • Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, backhoes, mini-excavators, tankers, trenchers, compressors, and specialized tapping/cutting tools while coordinating preventive maintenance, greasing, hydraulic hose replacement, and fluid checks
  • Maintain full safety compliance through confined space entry protocols, atmospheric monitoring, lockout/tagout procedures, excavation safety, traffic control setup, and digital documentation on tablets and laptops

Qualifications - Jet-Vac Operator/CCTV Pipeline Inspector

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to lift 60+ pounds regularly and work in confined spaces, trenches, and all weather conditions
  • Proficient with light and heavy equipment operation and basic computer/tablet use for field reporting
  • Comfortable wearing all required PPE and respiratory protection as job conditions require

Preferred Qualifications - Sewer Jet-Vac/CCTV Operator

  • CDL Class B with Tanker and Air Brake endorsements strongly preferred
  • CIPP experience including lateral and mainline rehabilitation, resin impregnation, inversion or pull-in-place methods, steam or UV cure, and lateral reinstatement
  • Sewer and water CCTV inspection experience with familiarity in NASSCO PACP, MACP, or LACP coding standards
  • Experience with bypass pumping setups, flow control management, and traffic control procedures
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-30, Confined Space Entry, and First Aid/CPR certifications

Physical Requirements - Jet-Vac Operator/CCTV Pipeline Inspector

  • Lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment weighing 60+ pounds on a regular basis
  • Stand, walk, kneel, and crawl for extended periods during installations, inspections, and repairs
  • Work in confined spaces including manholes, trenches, and underground utilities with proper atmospheric monitoring
  • Perform duties outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Travel to job sites within the Louisville, KY region and surrounding areas with 25-40% overnight travel required
