JOB TITLE: Dispatcher

JOB SUMMARY:  The dispatcher's job is to route and schedule drivers to deliver sweeping and other SCA services per customer specifications. 

 JOB LOCATION: 390 E Gish Rd, 95112, San Jose, CA

 SHIFT: 1st

COMPENSATION: $23 - $27 / hour

Our power sweeping solutions include sweeping parking lots, streets, and highways as well as construction, industrial, and special event sites. Our fleet uses the latest mechanical broom sweepers and regenerative air vacuum trucks. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Analyze the most efficient routes with drivers to target cost-effective delivery of service options that meet customer requirements. 

  • Daily review of work orders to coordinate resource deployment. 

  • Monitor daily driver logs for errors or violations of company procedures. 

  • Monitoring drivers' working hours and equipment availability.  

  • Monitor driver progress, process orders, and manage driver concerns. 

  • Answer phones and dispatch instructions when drivers need assistance. 

  • Review previous days/weeks’ services completed to validate delivery. 

  • Work with billing to ensure a record of services backup for invoice creation/generation. 

  • Use of computer software and excel for efficient routing, scheduling, and verification. 

  • Maintain awareness of the weather at all your drivers' locationstoflag potential issues. 

  • Dispatch drivers with knowledge of DOT regulations to ensure drivers are compliant and safe on the job. 

  • Maintain all records. 

  • Use good judgment in decision-making and escalate issues as appropriate. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 JOB REQUIREMENTS  

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. 

3-5 previous experiences as a dispatcher or related role. 

Preferred 

Dispatch or scheduler experience in the transportation industry. 

Excellent time-management skills. 

Ability to work in high-pressure situations and fast-paced environments. 

Strong organizational abilities 

 PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO DO THIS JOB  

Operate computer, keyboard, and phone. 

Ability to communicate concisely over the phone
