Job description

Jensen Builders is a growing design/build construction company offering a friendly, dynamic work environment, excellent opportunities to utilize and build your skills and experience, and the chance to work on a variety of great projects. Jensen Builders is 100% employee owned (Employee Stock Ownership Program).
Ideal carpenter applicants would have at least one year of wood framing experience, but we have an in-house training staff that is ready to train carpenters & framers of all experience levels!
There are a few requirements, you must have reliable transportation, a positive attitude, and a good work ethic. Must be able to show up on time every-day with minimal absences.
Duties
Preparing construction site each day by preparing materials, tools, and equipment
Safely operate and tend to equipment/machines/tools used in ironwork construction.
With proper training, operate a variety of hand and power tools, forklifts, skid loaders, and other tools and equipment as directed.
Install metal building doors and windows.
Set up and tie off safety cables and warning lines on roof or decks.
Read & understand blueprints, erection drawings and manifest specifications as required.
Maintain a high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
If the applicant is unfamiliar with any responsibilities above, they would need to possess the willingness and capability to learn the tasks.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Ability to get self to and from Jensen Builders offices.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
Demonstrated dependability.
Able to Lift Up to 100 lbs.
Measure/Cut Lumber Accurately
Follow Instructions
Knowledge of Various Types of Lumber
Minimum Tool Requirement: Toolbelt, 16oz or larger hammer, screwdriver (6-1 type), tape measure, speed square, retractable utility knife, chalk box, lineman or rebar pliers
Preferred Qualifications
Frame Carpentry: 1 year
Carpentry: 1 year
Be competent at construction math.
Valid Driver's License
Behavioral and Physical Function Requirements
The Construction Worker will work in conditions of repetitive movement, bending and twisting, climbing, using hands to lift, push, pull, carry, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The Construction Worker lifts heavy objects (50+ pounds), walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Must be able to read and follow instructions. Must be able to work harmoniously with others.
