Job description

Hospitality & Guest Experience Manager

Location: Woodland, CA area

Schedule: Hybrid to start; transitions to full-time on-site closer to launch

JDM is seeking a Hospitality & Guest Experience Manager to help plan, build, and prepare for the launch of two new hospitality concepts in the Woodland, California area. This role will be instrumental in shaping the guest experience from the ground up, with a strong focus on pre-opening planning, operational setup, guest flow, service design, hiring, and launch execution.

This is not a traditional restaurant operations role. We are looking for someone who understands alcohol-focused hospitality, guest experience, and retail-driven environments and can help thoughtfully plan how these spaces will function before and during development. The right person will work closely with ownership, marketing, construction, and operations to help create welcoming, efficient, and on-brand destinations. Because JDM Estate wines and olive oils will be featured and sold within both concepts, this role will also help connect the guest experience to the JDM Estate brand.

Important Requirements

  • Applicants must currently live in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No current or future visa sponsorship is available for this position
  • Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Woodland, CA, or be willing to commute to Woodland regularly from the start

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and development of the Beer Garden and the JDM Estate Tasting venue concept
  • Help define guest flow, service areas, hospitality standards, furnishings, signage, and the overall customer experience
  • Provide input during the planning and build-out phase to help ensure the spaces are functional, welcoming, and operationally sound
  • Assist in pre-opening planning, staffing strategy, hiring, and training development
  • Work with marketing on events, activations, launches, and guest experience opportunities
  • Help create a hospitality experience that supports JDM Estate wine and olive oil sales, gifting, and brand storytelling
  • Transition into a more active on-site hospitality leadership role as launch approaches

Qualifications

  • Background in hospitality, tasting rooms, wine-focused guest experience, alcohol beverage hospitality, or a related field
  • Experience opening or helping launch a hospitality, wine, bar, or guest experience concept preferred
  • Strong understanding of guest flow, service design, and hospitality operations
  • Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams in an evolving environment
  • Excited to help build something from the ground up
