Job description

Tasks and Responsibilities:ย 

  • Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of Warehouse Associates. Ensures Warehouse Associatesโ€˜ ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage warehouse; Counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
  • Assist associates in correcting order issues that occure throughout the day
  • Coordinate and fulfill hot orders/priority requests
  • Clean and maintain backlogged items daily
  • Schedules truck drivers arranging drop offs and deliveries and scheduling loading dock use of mechanized equipment such as forklifts and others.
  • Ensures that all appropriate safety regulations are being followed both with regards to personal safety and safety of inventory and use of equipment.
  • Checks and verifies records, handles questions or concerns of shipping shortages or overages and addresses any problems with inventory control.
  • Provides leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrates high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.
  • Enforces and works within TSS policies & procedures and understanding of compliance.
  • Supervises and participates in all warehouse actives; writing methods and procedures, taking physical inventories, maintaining records of personnel and materials, checks tools and equipment in and out, orders materials and supplies as necessary to maintain proper stock levels, issues and accounts for supplies to all departments.
  • As Receiving Lead, the following duties will also apply: monitor the unloading of all materials into the Receiving Department, ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection, ensure receiving reports accurately report material received, and resolve discrepancies with Purchasing regarding invoices, packing slips and receiver reports.
  • As Special Handling Lead, the following duties will also apply: perform work order kitting and packaging functions related to all work orders, issues and backflushes, the SKU requirements to match the work order, dates and lot numbers.
  • Warehouse leads are expected to spend time assisting associates fulfilling orders when the above duties are complete. This can be up to 20% of the Leads daily responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience:ย ย 

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain, information systems or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Three years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, asย  necessary.ย ย ย ย ย 
  • 1 year experience working with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
  • Proficient in MS Applications, particularly Word & Excel.
