Job Description
• Coverage: PMHNP would assist with either Woodridge Hospital Unit coverage or the adult Consult/Liaison service at JCMC.
• Team: PMHNP will work in collaboration and under the supervision of the Staff Psychiatrists.
• Currently 4 PMHNPs
• Social Workers/ Therapist onsite
• Treatment Team done daily
• RN/LPN/ Tech staff
• Nurse Manager on both units
• Hours/Day: 8-Hour day, can begin at 8am or 9am. 8-5 or 9-6.
• 2nd certs ( CON's) during call: 2nd certs are required for any TN admissions which are involuntary. These are done via laptop or tablet and secure portal. Details listed above.
• Unit demographics: Adult, sub-acute population, We do take some Geropsychiatry patients depending on level of functioning.
Main diagnosis: bipolar, schizoaffective disorder, secondary detox, depression, insomnia, suicidal ideations.
• EMR: EPIC
Qualifications:
• Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification required
• Consideration also given to Physician Assistants with a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry
