Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer – BMS / JCI Metasys

Location: Lebanon, Indiana -Onsite
Experience: 4–6+ Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer – BMS / JCI Metasys to support Building Management System (BMS) operations for a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Johnson Controls (JCI) Metasys, HVAC/building automation systems, utilities, environmental controls, and regulated pharmaceutical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of JCI Metasys BMS platforms.
  • Review control logic, system performance, and automation workflows for HVAC and utility systems.
  • Collaborate with Automation, IT/OT, Facilities, Operations, Commissioning, and JCI teams.
  • Support commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities for BMS systems.
  • Monitor and optimize environmental control systems to ensure compliance and reliability.
  • Investigate and resolve system alarms, performance issues, and operational incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP/GxP requirements and site procedures.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Johnson Controls (JCI) Metasys.
  • Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC, utilities, and environmental monitoring systems.
  • Experience supporting automation systems in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes.
  • Familiarity with IT/OT infrastructure and industrial control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
  • Knowledge of GMP/GxP compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to BAS/BMS integrations, SCADA, or PLC systems.
