Job description

Our specialty construction company installs geomembrane liners, for containment purposes throughout the Midwest. Work consists of travel to jobsites to perform construction services and shop hours, in Flandreau, when home. Crews travel 2-10 days at a time and then return to Flandreau, SD to unload and reload. Workers perform excavation, flat concrete work, light subgrade work and construction activities relating to the installation of geomembrane. Skills relating to the installation of geomembrane would be taught, through a training period with another supervisor.
We are looking to train a quality working foreman, who can think ahead, is clean and timely, is a self-motivated learner, meets goals, has high personal standards and communicates with crew, site personnel and management. This position would work directly with the crew to help facilitate the work in a timely efficient manner, while delivering a high-level of customer service to each client while on site. This position will have a 3–6-month training period, to gain the knowledge and understanding of installations, under another foreman.
Requirements:
Able to life 75+ lbs routinely throughout installation process
Attention to detail
Self-motivated
Valid CDL
5+ years of construction experience

Job Type:
J.C. Ramsdell has been in the geomembrane liner industry, for over 30 years. Our job sites are nationwide, primarily in the midwestern states. Our ideal candidate will travel and install liner, and work to excel themselves within the crew.
JC Ramsdell is looking for full-time employees working towards a long-term position within the company. The company is a unique construction company that requires knowledge of the industry and techniques in geomembrane installation, prior to advancement. Position has the opportunity for advancement to a supervisor position. The progression of the position within the company will be dependent on individual skill set. Position is full-time with year-round employment available.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Position requires travel, with a home base of South Dakota (Flandreau).
  • Travel with crew to sites throughout the Midwest.
  • Labor intensive, must be able to safely lift 100 pounds.
  • Grinding, extrusion welding, wedge welding and testing using tensiometer.
  • Deploying liner and moving sand bags.
  • Cleaning and maintaining a safe and tidy work place.
  • Learn in field procedures. Including welding techniques, QA/QC and general operation of light machinery.
  • Complete OSHA 10 hour course, within 30 days of hire
