Job Title: Back End Developer IV
Location: Richfield, Minnesota (Hybrid - minimum 2 days onsite per week - Locals/Nearby HIghly Preferred)
Employment Type: 6-Month Contract
Interview: F2F
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to contribute across all phases of the project lifecycle, including architecture, design, development, MVP delivery, and DevOps. The role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration skills, and the ability to deliver scalable, secure backend services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build event-driven solutions leveraging Kafka.
  • Manage data persistence with PostgreSQL on AWS Aurora.
  • Contribute to system architecture, technical design, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with product, design, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Configure CI/CD pipelines, manage repositories in GitHub, and adhere to coding standards.
  • Utilize Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for maintainability and quality.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • 3+ years of experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • 3+ years of experience with PostgreSQL (AWS Aurora preferred).
  • 3-4 years of experience with React and JavaScript for UI components.
