Job description

Job Summary:

In this role, you will leverage your technical and insurance-domain expertise to define architecture for Guidewire solutions and ensure effective communication between clients and delivery teams.
Responsibilities:
• define the end-to-end architecture for Guidewire solutions
• act as a key bridge between client stakeholders and Deloitte delivery teams
• translate business needs into scalable, secure configuration and integration designs
• set technical strategy and standards
• lead requirements-to-architecture decisions

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree
• 4 years consulting or relevant industry experience (Insurance - P&C, L&A / group, Commercial lines, Specialty)
• 4 years defining end-to-end architecture for Guidewire implementations, including scalable configuration and integration designs
• 4 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance Solutions with Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar package
• 4 years of experience working in one of the following sub service areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration or Distribution
• Minimum 4 full life cycle implementations of Large-Scale System Delivery Experience preferably for Policy Administration, Billing Systems and/or Claims Systems
• 1 year experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations
• 2 years of experience managing at least one large Business Integration effort and project team through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, and testing
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
• Advanced degree in area of technical specialization
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification
• 4 years experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration
• Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
• A strong Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX background
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration
• Experience with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule etc.
• Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
