Job description

Job Title

Project Details – Size, Scale, Scope?

Working on a new Homeowner’s product they are bringing in that is live already and adding additional states and enhancements to it currently

JAVA is the middle-engine of the process they have – will be doing coding API development and working in that middle-tier layer and connecting to the mainframe and databases (DB2 and SQL Server)

Will not be doing any UI work as that is based in.NET and not covered by this team.

Mainframe they will integrate with (DB2 sits there) but will not be doing any coding work their either – handled by another team for COBOL etc.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:

Middle-tier and back-end programming in JAVA and building web-apis (REST)

Technical Environment:

Mixed: mainframe (COBOL/JCL), JAVA,.NET

Team Size & Structure:

12 developer

Required Skills: Java SQL APIs Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Background Check: Yes Drug Screen: Yes Notes: Candidate must be open to being onsite in Miami, FL when the company goes back to working onsite. (Currently no plans in place to go into the office). Local candidates are HIGHLY PREFERRED.
