Overview

Job Purpose

The MSP Development community is at the core of MSP Mortgage Technology. Our team is responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and supporting both internal and clientfacing MSP functionality through efficient, highquality development practices that protect and strengthen the integrity of the MSP platform.

The MSP TOD CICS Team works closely with internal support groups and crossfunctional partners to understand business needs and deliver reliable, highperforming solutions. This role supports the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and production support of mainframe applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, and maintain CICS programs in accordance with business requirements and documented standards
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, ensuring timely and highquality delivery
  • Collaborate effectively with peers, crossfunctional teams, and business partners
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, delivering scalable and efficient solutions
  • Support and maintain applications in a production environment, including oncall rotation
  • Serve as a technical lead, architect, project lead, or principal developer, as needed
  • Mentor and guide lessexperienced developers
  • Contribute to system, component, and data architecture discussions
  • Identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and efficiencies while minimizing production risk
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in z/OS mainframe development
  • Strong experience with CICS COBOL, JCL, IDz, ISPW, REXX, and TSO
  • Solid understanding of systems analysis, application design, development, testing, and integration
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
  • Selfmotivated, proactive, and resultsoriented
  • Performs well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Adaptable, approachable, and committed to continuous learning

Preferred Knowledge and Experience 

  • Experience with Batch COBOL, Java/Java plugins, Assembler, or C*
  • Mortgage industry and MSP platform experience
  • Familiarity with FM/MSP production job flows and processes
  • Experience with production support and release management
