• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of older adults, factoring in their medical history, cognitive abilities, and personal circumstances.
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that address identified mental health conditions, focusing on evidence-based interventions suitable for geriatric populations.
• Facilitate regular individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation to support clients and their loved ones.
• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care, sharing insights about patients' progress and necessary adjustments in treatment strategies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and local community resources available to them.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of sessions, treatment progress, and adjustments in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

Your primary focus will be on older adults facing mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, dementia, and other geriatric mental health disorders. Understanding these patients' unique emotional and psychological needs is crucial, as they may deal with multiple health issues and significant life transitions. Your expertise will guide them toward improved mental resilience and overall wellness.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California, demonstrating dedication to the profession and adherence to state regulations.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, with a strong emphasis on working with the geriatric population preferred.
• Deep understanding of geriatric mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, promoting a patient-centered and empathetic approach to care.

• Two years of clinical experience specifically in individual and family therapy for older adults, showcasing your ability to manage the complexities of geriatric mental health care.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy delivery methods is desirable, reflecting the modern necessities of mental health practice.
