Reports To: Manager, Care Delivery

Locations Hiring From: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia ONLY. Must currently reside and plan on residing entire employment.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 10-6 EST or

Monday- Friday 12-8pm EST or

Saturday- Wednesday 12-8pm EST or

Tues- Saturday 12-8pm EST or

Wednesday- Sunday 12-8pm EST

Role Overview

As our Care Coordinator, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients navigating their digestive health journey at Oshi Health, managing inbound communications across phone, email, chat, and SMS. You will act as a key liaison between patients and their multidisciplinary care team, delivering a seamless, compassionate, and efficient experience that directly supports Oshi's mission to transform GI care. What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

  • Own high-volume inbound patient and provider communication queues across phone, email, chat, and SMS, responding quickly while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, resolving inquiries in real time without unnecessary handoffs.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments accurately, ensuring clean handoffs to GI Providers, Registered Dietitians, and Behavioral Health Providers.
  • Respond to billing and insurance questions, clearly explaining benefit design and cost-share in a way patients can understand.
  • Triage clinical questions accurately, manage pharmacy inquiries, and coordinate prescription and refill requests with urgency and attention to detail.
  • De-escalate challenging interactions with confidence and empathy while documenting all patient interactions accurately in real time.
  • Proactively identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest improvements that increase speed and patient satisfaction.

What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a health or science related field
  • 3+ years of experience in remote chat- based customer service experience (telehealth or digital health strongly preferred).
  • Fluency in healthcare terminology and comfortable navigating clinical concepts.
  • Experience in health insurance navigation and confident in explaining benefits and cost-sharing to patients.
  • Technically proficient in EMR/EHR and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Athena Health) and tools such as Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communicator who can be both efficient and empathetic.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented self-starter who works independently and requires minimal supervision.

Preferred

  • Experience working in telehealth or a digital health environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to triage accurately and escalate appropriately.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or mission-driven healthcare organization.
