Roles & Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend applications using Java 17+ and modern frameworks
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot (3.x), ensuring reliability, security, and performance
  • Implement data persistence and complex queries using JPA/Hibernate with relational or NoSQL databases
  • Develop and support event-driven architectures using Kafka / MQ for real-time messaging and processing
  • Containerize applications using Docker for deployment in cloud-native environments
  • Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless API integration and end-to-end functionality
  • Contribute to UI development using Angular (17+), TypeScript, and support full-stack integration
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated deployment practices
  • Apply best practices in software architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design

Required Qualifications / Must-Have Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate
  • Proven experience building microservices and REST APIs
  • Experience with Angular 17+ and modern TypeScript for front-end integration
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or messaging systems (MQ)
  • Experience working with Docker and containerized environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
  • Experience working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Strong debugging, testing (unit/integration), and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with workflow tools such as Camunda
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in full-stack development environments
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until June 28th, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 68,422 $ to 131,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
