A successful Java Developer in a startup environment should have strong proficiency in Java, object-oriented programming principles, and experience with frameworks like Spring or Hibernate, often backed by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with version control systems (like Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms is highly valued, and industry certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional can be advantageous.
