Job description

Position Summary
The Jarraff/Sky Trim Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment and reports any safety concerns immediately. This position will ensure that the work area is safe and that everyone around the work area is not at risk. The Jarraff/Sky Trim Operator will report to the General Foreperson and Manager for the site.
Duties and Responsibilities Include
Essential Duties:
  • Inspects and reports necessary repairs to tools, trucks, and other equipment
  • Loads and unloads equipment onto trucks and trailers
  • Services equipment to keep it clean, neat, and in specified mechanical condition
  • Participates in daily job briefings and safety meetings
  • Operates and services equipment
  • Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around work areas
  • Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, and markers to protect employees and public
  • Trains new personnel
  • Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, and operating procedures
  • Starts each workday with an inspection of tires, controls, fuel, and fluids to ensure reliable operation
  • Changes attachments, makes adjustments, verifies information, and troubleshoots problems
  • Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice

What You'll Bring to the Team

Preferred:
  • Two (2) or more years of Equipment Operator experience
  • Mechanical Training
  • DOT Compliance Knowledge
  • CDL
