Japan is one of evoTripsโ€™ most important destinations and a cornerstone of our offering. The evoTrip

Japan Operations Lead will play a critical role in scaling this business while ensuring we deliver

exceptional guest experiences at every stage.


The Role:

The Japan Trip Operations Lead is responsible for operating evoTripโ€™s Japan platform year-round,

with a focus on Snow and Mountain Biking trips, growing the Japan Trips offering into a year-round

adventure platform in Japan.


This role blends product development, vendor management, and operational leadership to

deliver premium guest experiences while scaling efficiently. You will work closely with evoโ€™s North

American team to refine products and evolve our trip offerings in Japan for North American guests,

while building & facilitating strong local partnerships and operational systems in Japan.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


Trip Product Development

  • Partner with evoโ€™s HQ team to refine Japan trip products, bringing new and refined products to the market.
  • Continuously improve itineraries, accommodations, transportation logistics, and guest experiences across our product ranges.
  • Identify opportunities to preimmunize the offering while maintaining strong value an operational efficiency.
  • Work with our team to develop and refine new trip concepts focused on mountain biking.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Partner seamlessly with Rhythm, and evo Hotel teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners including but not limited to;

-Lodging providers

-Transportation partners

-F&B partners

  • Negotiate vendor agreements and pricing to improve economics as trip volume scales, leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones.
  • Establish preferred supplier relationships that support long-term growth.

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee in-market trip delivery to ensure every guest receives a world-class experience.
  • Act as the operational escalation point for guest issues or trip disruptions.
  • Lead all in-market trip operations across winter and summer seasons.
  • Partner with the Rhythm team to recruit local seasonal hosts, onboarding them to evoTrip products, and setting experience standard expectations.
  • Build scalable operational systems that support trip growth while maintaining high service standards.
  • Manage seasonal hosts and operational staff during peak seasons.
  • Ensure operational plans meet financial expectations while maintaining best-in-class guest experiences.

Guide Planning & Coordination

  • Work closely with Rhythm Rides to forecast guide needs ahead of each season, and
  • assist in operational planning as necessary
  • Collaborate and communicate with guide teams to ensure alignment with evoโ€™s
  • experience standards and trip objectives.
Requirements:

The Must Haves

  • 5+ years experience in travel, adventure tourism, or hospitality operations.
  • Deep operational experience running trips, tours, hotels, or experiences.
  • Strong vendor negotiation and partnership management skills.
  • Experience managing seasonal teams
  • Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environments
  • Ability to travel domestically 60% of the time

The Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of ski, snowboard, or mountain bike guiding/trip/travel operations.
  • Experience operating travel programs
  • Proficiency in Japanese a plus

The base wage for this role ranges from $492,125 - $590,550 JPY/Month. Where you land in that range depends on your skills and experience, and we also factor in internal pay equity. While the full range is listed for this role, we rarely hire at the top of the range, leaving room for professional and financial growth in role.
