What does it take to be successful in this role?
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently under tight deadlines and independently with minimal supervision
• Knowledge & experience in Microsoft Power Automate, Power Query and VBA preferred
• Superior MS Excel skill set including pivot tables, reference and lookup formulas, macros, etc., intermediate ability to work with MS Power Point preferred
• Highly organized with superior attention to detail with an ability to analyze large amounts of data and extract meaningful information and identify findings in a succinct format
• Ability to identify and improve data accuracy and processes used in production of financial, accounting and investment reporting purposes

Education & Experience Required
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial services technology and trade operations management (preferably life insurance and/or asset management)
  • 5 years of direct experience in Fixed Income, Private Placements and Derivatives' operations
  • Experience with BBG AIM/MARS/BCOL and Bloomberg terminal, Markit, DTCC CTM, Indus Valley Partners reconciliation, FX ALL or similar software

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with margin and collateral managements and counterparty interactions is a plus

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides trading workflow operational support to ensure trade matching and settlement, engages with custodians and internal stakeholders, researching and resolving all trade discrepancies with counterparties.
• Works with Aflac Re Bermuda team, Trading, US CIO office, Japan Operations, Risk, Compliance, IT, Investment Accounting, Custodians, Treasury, FP&A and other key stakeholders.
• Reconciles cash, investment activity, and positions between order management system, custodians and accounting systems.
• Maintains books and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Sets up accounts with brokers and custodians.
• Executes money movement transactions including internal transfers and outgoing wires.
• Assists with set up and maintenance of SSIs.
• Monitors and executes corporate action events.
• Performs daily cash management and cash balance monitoring.
• Monitors and supports securities lending program.
• Assists and supports day to day management of global custodians.
• Collaborates and contributes to the advancement of controls and process documentation to enhance the control environment.
• Assists in identifying gaps in procedural documentation and making the necessary updates.
• Works with vendors and internal groups to evaluate the operational requirements to support existing and new investment instruments and account types.
• Leads the advancement of investment trade operations reports, KPIs and processes; ensures all systems and applications have strong process workflows to minimize errors and time.
• Works with credit, trading, Japan Operations and Aflac Re Bermuda teams as necessary to assist with operational global workflows.
• Participates in or leads ad-hoc projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Total Rewards
The salary range for this job is $140,000 to $185,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
In addition to the base salary, we offer an array of benefits to meet your needs including medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug coverage, health care flexible spending, dependent care flexible spending, Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee), 401(k) plans, annual bonuses, and an opportunity to purchase company stock. On an annual basis, you'll also be offered 11 paid holidays, up to 20 days PTO to be used for any reason, and, if eligible, state-mandated sick leave (Washington employees accrue 1-hour sick leave for every 40 hours worked) and other leaves of absence, if eligible, when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
