FLSA Status:Non-Exempt, Hourly

Job Status:Full-Time

Schedule:M-TH, 6am 4:30pm | Overtime as requested on Fridays. NO WEEKENDS!


Position Summary
Janco is seeking an Assembler responsible for accurately and efficiently assembling components and products according to specifications and work instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products while maintaining safety and meeting production deadlines. The Assembler must read and interpret blueprints or diagrams, use hand and power tools as needed, and perform quality checks to ensure that all assembled parts meet required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tools and equipment used in the assembly process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and instructions to ensure accurate assembly according to specifications.
  • Assemble product using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
  • Ensure proper selection and handling of materials and components for each job.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of assembled components.
  • Properly label and organize finished products for the next stage of production or shipping.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Education:High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:Previous experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment, particularly assembly or similar is a plus. However, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Computer Skills:Basic knowledge of computers or smartphones is helpful.

Work Environment

The work required for this position is performed on the shop floor which is not climate controlled. Safety-toe shoes, protective eye wear, gloves when handling material are required.
