Jeffrey A. Miller Hospitality Group (JAM) is seeking a full-time Venue Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for The Judge Morris Estate, one of our upcoming venues in New Castle, DE. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong person-to-person sales background (non-retail) and bring proven management experience to direct a diverse team in a fast-paced, changing work environment with hard deadlines.
JAM is known for providing innovative cuisine and extraordinary hospitality at hundreds of weddings and special events every year in the tri-state area. This opportunity is a commission draw with total compensation in the annual range of $65,000 - $90,000 with more earnings potential as the venue grows. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Promptly follow up with all inquiries/prospects and qualify leads as appropriate, including in-person, phone, and email interactions.
  • Take prospects to closing (signed contract) and maintain client relationships.
  • Manage venue personnel including event designers and site supervisors to ensure the successful execution of events according to the client's vision.
  • Conduct outreach to with corporate and other social organizations.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and attend venue open house events.
  • Schedule and conduct venue tours.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the physical management of the properties.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of full-time work experience, including 3-5 years of commission-based sales experience (non-retail).
  • Proven excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Sales CRM, and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, especially during our busy wedding seasons.
  • Excellent references that can attest to sales, leadership, and management abilities.
  • Background in hospitality or familiarity with the food & beverage industry is preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle.
