Position Description Values
The Dreamline Coach is responsible for creating meaningful and supportive relationships with scholars while helping foster a safe, engaging, and growth-centered environment within programming spaces in DREAMLINE partner schools.
Each Dreamline Coach works directly with a cohort of scholars to support their academic, social-emotional, and leadership development through culturally responsive coaching practices, expanded learning opportunities, mentorship, advocacy, and collaborative engagement with families, school staff, and community partners.Role and Responsibilities
Scholar Engagement & Support
• Build trusted, consistent, and developmentally supportive relationships with scholars
• Design and foster emotionally safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments
• Support scholars in setting and achieving academic, behavioral, and personal goals
• Provide culturally responsive mentorship and coaching support
• Help scholars strengthen communication, leadership, self-advocacy, and conflict resolution skills.
Expanded Learning Opportunities & Community Engagement
• Support and facilitate enrichment activities, service projects, and leadership opportunities
• Encourage scholars to participate in community-building and expanded learning experiences
• Assist with special events, field experiences, and partner activities as assigned
• Build positive relationships with families, caregivers, school staff, and community stakeholders
Operational & Team Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and timely program documentation and data entry
• Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, coaching sessions, and professional development opportunities
• Follow all Dreamline, school district, and organizational policies and procedures
• Communicate professionally and consistently with supervisors and team members
• Demonstrate reliability, preparedness, accountability, and teamwork
• Support Dreamline and The Sanneh Foundation events and initiatives as assignedMinimum Qualifications
• Maintain professional boundaries and appropriate conduct at all times
• Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and strong communication skills
• Model integrity, leadership, and positive decision-making
• Uphold child safety standards and mandatory reporting responsibilities
• Avoid prohibited one-on-one private interactions, including outside approved program structures
• Contribute positively to DREAMLINE culture and team collaboration
• Approach youth development work with empathy, accountability, flexibility, and consistencyPreferred Qualifications
• Postsecondary education, certifications, or relevant professional training
• Experience working in schools, after-school programs, athletics, mentoring, or youth-serving organizations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, restorative practices, or social-emotional learning, a plus
• Experience with data collection, documentation, or youth development reporting systems, a plus
