Job Purpose

The Food Service Director at S P J S T Rest Home is responsible for overseeing the entire food service operations within the facility. This role ensures that residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The director will lead the food service team, manage budgets, and collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall dining experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents, ensuring balanced and nutritious meals.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the food service department, including food preparation, service, and sanitation.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and standards.
  • Manage and train food service staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage purchasing to ensure costโ€‘effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
