Job description

Provide academic and computer support to students with a primary focus on proficiency in basic skills, Internet use, email, Microsoft Office, and Ivy Tech support platforms - MyIvy and Canvas needed in conjunction with subject specific knowledge.
Hourly Rate: $16.22
Major Responsibilities:
  • Assists students in the general use of computers.
  • Guides students in the use of software programs and/or web-based applications directly related to Ivy Tech coursework.
  • Maintains contact records for each student.
  • Provides individualized and group support in a manner that empowers students to become independent, successful learners.
  • Direct students to various departments to address additional support needs as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
Student in good standing with at least 12 Ivy Tech credit hours accumulated or graduate for one semester beyond graduation. If student drops all classes, employment ends.
Computer literacy and knowledge in word processing programs required
Possess a working understanding of college level skills needed by students
Ability to exercise important human relations skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with college students
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
