Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avaya OD (Orchestration Designer) Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Avaya solutions, particularly Avaya Orchestration Designer, and a strong background in leading projects focused on IVR (Interactive Voice Response) development, deployment, and optimization. The role demands excellent technical, leadership, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of IVR applications using Avaya Orchestration Designer.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and QA teams, to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team on Avaya OD best practices and coding standards.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Perform regular system analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing IVR applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation for all development projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest Avaya technologies and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and customer experience.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and provide status updates on project progress.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in IVR application development and 3+ years in a lead role using Avaya Orchestration Designer.

Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Avaya Orchestration Designer, Avaya Aura, and other related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of IVR/telephony systems, CTI integrations, and voice biometrics.
  • Experience with Java, J2EE, and web services (SOAP/REST) for IVR development.
  • Familiarity with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication protocols such as SIP and H.323.

Tools & Methodologies:
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS) or equivalent certification.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based IVR solutions and migration strategies.
  • Experience in integrating AI/ML capabilities into IVR systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
