Job Summary:
Spry Methods is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a federal law enforcement and scientific mission environment delivering secure, high-performing enterprise IT services. This role contributes directly to the reliability, modernization, and operational excellence of infrastructure and applications, ensuring high levels of availability and security.
Responsibilities:
• Enhance enterprise IT services and solutions to provide best-in-class end-user support and drive improvements in the operations, management, maintenance and integration of services across multiple networks, systems, and applications.
• Ensure functionality, performance, availability, responsiveness of supported IT systems and services.
• Manage server performance against service delivery objectives and identify and implement operational improvements to promote efficiency within the organization.
• Gather and analyze user system requirements using multiple methodologies.
• Develop technical documentation, including system requirements, security specifications, and test plans.
• Diagnose and resolve server issues related to connectivity, storage, application status, availability, and hardware.
• Monitor system performance, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform regular data backups and maintain disaster recovery operations.
• Support Continuity of Operations (COOP) to ensure mission-critical availability.
• Apply technical and business expertise to improve deployment and maintenance processes.
• Design, deploy, test, certify, patch, and address interoperability issues across all system components.
• Work independently and collaboratively to enhance system solutions and drive service improvements.
• Define and enforce enterprise architecture standards and best practices across IT projects.
• Develop and maintain reference architectures to guide solution design and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance frameworks in all architectural designs.
• Lead architecture review boards and provide guidance on technical decisions and trade-offs.

Qualifications:
Required:
• US citizenship with active Top Secret clearance
• Minimum of 8 years' experience, or equivalent certifications demonstrating ability to perform at this level
