Overview

VTG is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support Windows and Linux enterprise environments and security-controlled systems. The position requires hands-on systems engineering and administration experience across Windows infrastructure, databases, Active Directory services, virtualization, and Linux environments.


What will you do?
  • Engineer, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems.
  • Support Windows Server and desktop operating systems across enterprise environments.
  • Administer MSSQL databases and related infrastructure.
  • Support Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and certificate management for users, servers, and service accounts.
  • Manage virtualized environments, including VM clusters and Hyper-V.
  • Support Data Protection Manager and enterprise data protection activities.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support system administration and automation.
  • Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes to accredit security-controlled systems.
  • Administer Microsoft Group Policy across multiple systems.
  • Manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for system updates and patching.
  • Support virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Support security-controlled systems, software, hardware, and data architecture.
  • Perform data transfer activities within security-controlled environments.
  • Support network and storage infrastructure, including Cisco technologies and NetApp SAN environments.
  • Cross-skill and provide backfill support for other team members.
  • Handle sensitive data while exercising discretion and sound judgment.
