Hospital at Home Registered Nurse (RN)

BrightStar Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hospital at Home team. If you have a background in Acute Care, Emergency Room (ER), IV Therapy, and/or Wound Care, we want to hear from you. This role provides high-quality nursing care to patients in the comfort of their homes, helping them safely recover while avoiding or reducing hospital stays.

Flexible Scheduling

Days, evenings, weekends, holidays, part-time, and PRN opportunities available.

  • Provide skilled nursing care to Hospital at Home patients
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
  • Start and maintain IVs and administer prescribed therapies
  • Perform wound care and dressing changes
  • Recognize and communicate changes in patient condition
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA, regulatory, and quality standards
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Illinois RN license
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Experience in Acute Care, ER, IV Therapy, and/or Wound Care
  • Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
  • Drivers License, reliable transportation and auto insurance
  • Ability to pass background screening
Preferred
  • Home Health or Hospital at Home experience
  • Peripheral IV insertion and maintenance
  • Infusion therapy experience
  • Wound Care certification or advanced wound care experience
  • BSN preferred
