How to make an extra $2000 a month as a nurse?

An IV Team RN can increase income by taking on overtime shifts, working per diem or agency assignments, or specializing in high-demand areas like infusion therapy. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an IV Team RN, and why are they important?

To thrive as an IV Team RN, you need expertise in intravenous therapy, vascular access, and a current RN license, often with additional certification in infusion nursing. Familiarity with infusion pumps, ultrasound-guided IV placement, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is typically required. These skills are vital to ensure safe, effective, and comfortable IV therapy for patients, while minimizing complications and supporting overall care quality.

What are IV Team RNs?
