Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at an acute care hospital in Minnesota, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications with at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details
  • Acute care hospital ICU setting with 5 beds
  • Patient ratio of 2 patients per RN
  • 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (07:00โ€“19:30 / 19:00โ€“07:30)
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Common diagnoses include stroke (with TPN administration), STEMI, and non-STEMI
  • Manages critical drips including Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, and Vasopressors
  • Ventilator in use: Hamilton C-1
  • Charting system: Paragon Hospital (EMR) and Allscripts TouchWorks (Clinics)
  • Telemetry/monitor techs available on unit
  • Hospitalist in-house coverage (no intensivist)
  • RT available until 6:00 PM, then on-call with 10-minute response time
  • Pharmacy in-house until 10:00 PM, remote after 10:00 PM
  • No dedicated IV team โ€” RN responsible for IV access
  • Floating may be required to Med/Surg
  • 13-week assignment
Requirements
  • Active MN RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • BSN not required
  • Experience with critical drips (Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, Vasopressors) required
  • Familiarity with ventilator management preferred, Hamilton C-1 experience a plus
  • Allscripts or Paragon EMR experience preferred

  • 7 major holidays observed and may fall within the work schedule
