Staff Nurse- IV Team- Per Diem - 11:00 am to 11:00 pm

Our nurses work closely with families to create a healing environment. We utilize top technology, practicing with confidence and compassion-and experiencing the heights of fulfilling professional achievement.

The IV team nurse is a specialized clinician responsible for the expert placement, management, and troubleshooting of complex intravenous lines and vascular access devices. This nurse serves as a resource for hospital units or outpatient clinics, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered vascular access care. The role includes providing consultative services for difficult venous access, offering education and training to staff and patients, and supporting best practices in vein preservation.

This is a per diem position, hours are 11:00 am to 11:00 pm at NewYork-Presbyterian- Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

  • VA-BC (Vascular Access Board Certified), CRNI (Certified Registered Nurse Infusion), or similar specialized credentials
  • Three plus years in acute care or infusion settings

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current NYS RN licensure
  • BCLS and PALS
  • Minimum of 2 years in acute care or infusion settings
  • Demonstrated skills in vein preservation and managing difficult IV placements
  • Proficient in the use of ultrasound technology for vascular access
