As a Service Technician, you are a vital partner to our clients, ensuring their systems operate at peak efficiency with a "white-glove" service approach.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Service Technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of our filtration systems across Northeast Indiana. This is a field-based role requiring a blend of mechanical aptitude and professional communication. You will be responsible for the entire technical lifecycle of our equipment-from running new water lines to performing precision water quality tests-to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Installation: Professionally install and maintain point of usebottleless coolers, reverse osmosis systems, ice machines, and multi-stage filtration units. Professionally run water lines (1/4" and 3/8" tubing) from source points to equipment, ensuring clean, hidden, and secure routing.
  • System Maintenance: Perform scheduled 6-month and 12-month preventative maintenance, including multi-stage filter replacements, UV lamp changes, and tank sanitization.
  • Quality Testing: Conduct TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), pressure, and temperature and other applicable industry tests during every visit to verify filtration effectiveness and provide clients with documented results.
  • Rapid Repair: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or electrical issues (e.g., leaks, heating/cooling failures, or dispenser malfunctions) within 24-48 hours of a service call.
  • B2B Relationship Management: Act as a professional representative in corporate, healthcare, and industrial environments, communicating clearly with office managers regarding service outcomes. Identify opportunities for system upgrades, additional filtration, or equipment replacements.
  • Fleet & Inventory: Maintain a clean, fully-stocked company service vehicle and manage digital work flows as directed

Qualifications
  • Mechanical Aptitude: 1-3 years of experience in light plumbing, appliance repair, HVAC, or similar technical field service.
  • Skills: Proficiency with basic hand and power tools (drills, tube cutters, wrenches) and the ability to use a multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting.
  • Professionalism: Exceptional "customer-first" attitude with the ability to work quietly and respectfully in professional office settings.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and maneuver equipment in tight spaces (under sinks, behind cabinets).
  • License: Valid Indiana Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
