What You Will Do

Chomps is one of the fastest-growing better-for-you snack brands — and this year, we were named Target's Food & Beverage Partner of the Year. We're looking for an Associate, Sales to join our Mass sales team and play a hands-on role in driving the Target and Aldi business. In this role, you'll build your CPG sales foundation by owning the operational backbone of our accounts: forecasting, replenishment, portal management, and data analysis. You bring strong attention to detail, a drive to learn, and the initiative to spot and flag issues before they become problems. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting
    • Own inputs to internal forecast system (Vividly) & monthly forecast review
    • Own Target & Aldi monthly pacing tracker on gross sales
    • Sales forecast: monthly reviews & account planning
    • Own PO execution
  • Customer Operations & Portals
    • Manage item catalogue & ongoing maintenance within POL
    • Own replenishment management; with a close pulse on WOS by item
    • Monitor customer forecast & proactively communicate updates; own cut sheets to Target for PO edits
    • New item setup
    • Support deduction & spoils management in partnership with Accounts Receivable
    • Display and Promotion submissions & any other customer specific paperwork, with Sr National Account Manager, Target
  • Analytics
    • Co-own weekly recap emails
    • Owns Target POL data pulls
    • Analyze consumption & Target data to identify current headwinds, upcoming risk and opportunities
    • Track category trends and competitive activity (Target POS data & SPINS)
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Business Analytics Team on item level forecast, display & promotional lifts and WOS monitoring
    • Partner with Operations Team on PO adjustments, as needed
    • Partner with Omni Marketing & eComm teams on Target's Roundel opportunities
    • Partner with Accounts Receivable on Deduction & Spoils management support
    • Partner with Target Sr National Account Manager on stage gate (commercialization) needs
    • Support cross-functional collaboration on Target
    • Co-own the weekly internal recap and own the weekly recap to buyers

Who You Are

  • 3-5 years of experience in strategy, planning and/or replenishment management
  • Forecasting tools proficiency preferred
  • CPG experience required
  • Direct Target experience is required (HQ & Brand/Broker experience is a plus)
  • Able to quickly grasp new concepts, multitask, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • Have an entrepreneurial mentality with a 'self-starter' approach
  • Are an adept problem solver who seeks creative solutions, with a consistent attention to detail

Position: Associate, Sales - Target + Aldi

Reports to: Senior National Account Manager - Mass

Location: Remote; preference given to those located in the Minneapolis area

Type: Full-Time, exempt

Salary Range Opportunity:

  • The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000 + 15% annual bonus

Compensation Philosophy & Total Comp:

  • Our salary ranges are based on verified market data and our philosophy of paying competitively for our size and industry
  • Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company
  • In addition to base salary, full-time team members receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K 6% match, and monthly reimbursements for wellness and home office.
