What You'll Do
No two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, learning their names, and going the extra mile to make every visit a great one
- Take customer orders at the counter and over the phone, and assist with finding products and answering questions
- Prepare pizza toppings, pizza dough, breadsticks, and other products as needed throughout your shift
- Pre-bake pizza crusts and ensure an adequate supply of product is ready and on hand at all times
- Monitor product freshness, rotate and replenish the cold case, and pull items that are past their date
- Receive product, verify orders, and place product in the appropriate storage areas
- Run the department register and process payments where applicable
- Follow proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized at all times
- Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department
- Work alongside your teammates to ensure a smooth, positive experience for every customer
- Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies
- Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed
- You'll receive direction and support from: Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home, Food Service Director, and Mia Italian Department Manager
Your Skills
