Job description

Position: Technical Services Consultant / IT Consultant, DC-VA-MD (Metro Area). Job Location: DC Metro Area. Type: Fulltime, Mon-Fri. Number of Openings: 1. Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000 annually. Start Date: Contingent. The Technical Services Consultant / IT Consultant for the Integration team requires a well-rounded individual to consult, implement and manage a wide variety of solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Travel to client sites in the DC-VA-MD metro area to provide technical project consulting and comprehensive IT support for a variety of clients (small businesses, non-profits, government agencies).
  • Diagnose and resolve complex IT issues across various platforms and systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
  • Implement and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs and improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support or a similar role (5 as a lead role).
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proficiency in VMware and Hyper-V environments.
  • Proficiency with Office 365, Entra, Intune and Active Directory Administration.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting for automation tasks is a must.
  • Proficient with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Experience with network security and firewall configurations (Unifi and PFSense troubleshooting a plus).
  • Experience in Linux systems administration.
  • Experience with Teams Room Configuration.
  • Familiarity with ConnectWise PSA, ScreenConnect, and ITGlue are a plus.
  • Versatility to adapt and research new ideas and methods, and demonstrated ability to analyze problems and make decisions.
  • Own vehicle and clean driving record.
  • Frequent travel to client sites throughout Maryland, Virginia and D.C.
