As the Information Technology System Administrator, you will help manage the IT systems of a fast growing, software driven manufacturing company. This role is hands-on and focused on building, maintaining, and evolving a reliable and high performing network and systems environment that can scale and adapt as the business continues to grow.

What you'll do

  • Help manage the IT environment including network infrastructure, system architecture, servers, and shop floor hardware to ensure reliability, security, and performance
  • Manage Windows and MacOS based computer equipment and deployment 
  • Willing to get your hands dirty working on equipment and installations
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with Human Resources to ensure employees have the right equipment and access from Day One
  • Manage deployment, access, licensing, and renewals for all software including manufacturing systems such as SigmaNest
  • Help support regulatory and customer compliance requirements including NIST, FISMA, DFARS and ITAR controls
  • Work closely with all departments across the company and travel to our other company facilities as needed to support daily operations and long-term initiatives
  • Help build and maintain strong defenses against cyber threats in close collaboration with Engineering
  • Partner with IT management on future technology initiatives and company wide projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Ubiquiti UniFi environments including VLANs, routing, firewalls, site to site connections, wireless design, and security rules
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace administration
  • Familiarity with Active Directory management
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP IP, switching, routing, VPNs, and segmentation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees at all levels of the company
  • Proven ability to build scalable IT processes and manage outside vendors
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing day to day work
  • Ability to adapt in a fast growing environment and lead change with team buy in
  • Willingness to travel periodically to SendCutSend locations, including Texas and Kentucky and future locations 
  • Willingness to be on call as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or similar roles
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Entra ID and/or Azure platforms and FIPS-validated network gear is a plus
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Unifi Full Stack (UFSP)
  • Experience supporting highly automated and browser based manufacturing systems
  • Background in manufacturing such as CNC, fabrication, or similar environments 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment such as computers, monitors, and networking hardware
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while supporting office and Production floor systems

Work Environment

  • This role works across office, engineering, and manufacturing environments
  • May include exposure to production areas with machinery, noise, and temperature variations
