Summary

As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the organization. You will collaborate with team members and end-users to ensure seamless operation of technology and optimal use of IT resources.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical assistance and support for inquires and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware and networking.
  • Implements and maintains IT support ticketing system, effectively prioritizes ticket urgency and responds to tickets timely.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with hardware, software and network connectivity issues. Escalate complex issues to vendors as needed.
  • Manage and monitor local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs. Ensure network security and optimize network performance.
  • Implement data backup and recovery procedures to protect organizational data and ensure business continuity in case of system failure or disasters.
  • Implement and enforce IT security policies, procedures and best practices. Monitor systems of security breaches and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
  • Maintains IT continuity and disaster recovery plan and related IT policies.
  • Lead IT projects such as system upgrades, installations and migrations.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an IT specialist or in a similar IT support role.
  • Experience with operating systems (Windows, etc.), office productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google, etc.) and endpoint management tools.
  • Solid knowledge of computer systems, networks and IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies.
  • Reliable transportation.
