Job description

The IT Project Manager will oversee projects in relation to specific accounts and projects. Ability to perform highly complex managerial project management as well as project analysis. Maintain communication between all stakeholders. Create project planning and implementation documentation to ensure proper execution of each project. Establish budgets, timelines, milestones, and schedules and ensure the project team meets the established criteria. Provides leadership, mentoring, training, and supervision to coordination team assigned to their projects.

Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Maintain regular and timely communication throughout the life of the project, with internal teams using a variety of communication tools such as email, WhatsApp, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams. Meet or exceed departmental standards and company communication policy.
  • Set and communicate to required stakeholders project requirements to determine milestones, timelines, funding guidelines, procedures, processes, and frequency of communication and reporting statuses for successful completion of the project.
  • Establish technical requirements, assist in creating technical documentation and vetting questions/requirements to aid the coordination team with the parameters for technician selection.
  • Create internal resource plans to determine the number, duration, and function of all resources needed to successfully complete project. Share this information with the team to ensure the proper assignment of resources across all projects.
  • Create a comprehensive coordinator walk through, documenting coordination responsibilities and project requirements assigned to coordination team and monitor throughout the duration of the project.
  • Assess Client needs based on provided specifications and develop project scope, timelines, budgets and project documentation, including risk assessments, communication plans, project plans, change management, and issue logs.
  • Update internal project and management team of project changes that require changes to resource plan.
  • Report project issues, concerns, escalations, potential risks, potential project failures, and budget overruns to internal project and management team.
  • Lead and conduct internal and external project calls using agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Maintain status reports for billing and audit purposes.
  • Create and present client facing QBRs.
  • Conduct close out meetings including lessons learned with client and project team members.
  • Regularly provide performance reviews of project coordination team relaying strengths, opportunities for improvement, and help set goals for continued improvement and growth based on employee input and key performance indicators.
  • Assist with hiring by participating in interviewing process for coordination staff members.
  • Provide ongoing training and leadership to project coordination team by providing training videos, documentation, and mentorship.

Requirements:

  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills, including typing proficiency
  • In Depth Knowledge of Project Management principles and procedures
  • 6-10 Years of Project Management Experience
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet search engines, basic data entry and data management. Be proficient with Microsoft 365. The ability and wiliness to learn new software as new software becomes available.
  • Understands IT Services with basic knowledge of network infrastructure, structured cabling and end user devices supported within IT Services Industry
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Associate degree related to Management, Business Administration, Communications, or Computer Science or a or Bachelors degree
  • PMP or Project Management courses a plus
  • A+ and technical certifications a plus
  • ITIL certifications a plus
