Keller is looking for an experienced IT Project Manager. This role can be fully remote. Preference will be given to candidates in the Eastern time zone. 

The IT Project Manager is accountable for the successful delivery and management of assigned IT projects that primarily support Operations and Engineering across Keller. The role works in conjunction with sponsors, initiative owners, functional leaders, IT teams, suppliers and delivery partners to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, quality, time and budget constraints. While Operations and Engineering are the primary focus areas, the IT Project Manager may also support projects across other business functions as portfolio demand requires.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage plans, risks, dependencies, communications and governance, ensuring that project deliverables are achieved and that business value is realised through controlled and effective delivery.
  • Analyze project proposals to determine scope, time frame, funding limitations, resource requirements and the appropriate delivery approach.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, RAID logs, resource plans and communication plans in line with Keller's IT project governance framework.
  • Contribute to, or lead, the development and maintenance of business cases, project approach documents and delivery plans.
  • Work with Operations, Engineering, technical teams and business stakeholders to define clear project outcomes, responsibilities and decision points.
  • Coordinate activities across internal teams, external suppliers, delivery partners and business stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
  • Provide leadership, direction and motivation to project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify, assess and manage risks, issues, dependencies and opportunities, ensuring mitigation plans are agreed, tracked and escalated where required.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, financials and delivery performance, providing accurate status updates, reporting and metrics.
  • Implement effective project communications to keep sponsors, stakeholders, IT teams, business analysts, end users and external partners informed and engaged.
  • Ensure project goals are aligned with business objectives and deliver practical outcomes for Operations, Engineering and other assigned business functions.
  • Ensure IT solutions comply with required security, compliance, operational support and transition requirements.
  • Create and maintain project documentation and artefacts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support business readiness, implementation planning, transition to support and post-production sustainment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, PMO standards and project portfolio management maturity.
  • Contribute to wider IT continuous improvement initiatives and support collaboration across the IT PMO.
Qualifications

Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in an IT project management or technology delivery role, including delivery of multiple projects or a significant business-critical project.
  • Experience delivering IT initiatives that support Operations, Engineering, construction, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, field-service or similarly operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and hybrid approaches.
  • Experience using project planning and delivery tools such as Microsoft Project, Project for the web, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet or similar platforms.
  • Experienced using Microsoft 365 applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where the role may not directly control resources.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to work across Operations, Engineering, IT, suppliers and other business functions.
  • Ability to manage suppliers, technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams across geographically distributed locations.
  • Strong understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish trust and confidence with sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Good understanding of risk, issue, dependency, change and financial management within project delivery.
  • Good understanding and appreciation of operational support, transition planning and post-production sustainment.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe or equivalent is desirable.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification or equivalent understanding of IT service management is desirable.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP, Asset Management, Project Management, GIS, Service Management, HCM or related business applications.
  • Experience with reporting, dashboards or project portfolio tools such as Power BI, ServiceNow SPM, Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Experience working within a PMO, governance or structured delivery environment.
  • Experience working in a global organisation supporting geographically distributed teams and stakeholders.
