Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior IT Project Manager to lead and manage multiple technology projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, stakeholder management, project planning, risk mitigation, and cross-functional team leadership. Experience managing projects supporting Federal Government agencies and contracts is highly preferred. This role requires a strategic thinker who can balance competing priorities, drive project execution, and ensure successful delivery of business and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent IT projects supporting commercial and/or Federal Government clients.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and government compliance guidelines when applicable.
  • Coordinate with government stakeholders, program managers, contracting officers, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, status reports, risk registers, and deliverables required under federal contracts.
  • Lead Agile/Scrum teams delivering technology solutions in support of federal programs and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience supporting Federal Government, State Government, or Public Sector IT projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including government clients.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent Agile certification.
  • Experience managing projects for Federal agencies such as CMS, HHS, VA, DHS, DoD, or other government organizations.
  • Familiarity with Federal contracting environments, compliance requirements, and government project reporting.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and managing contract deliverables.

Preferred Clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other government-required clearance.
  • Active Public Trust, Secret, or higher clearance is a plus.
