Job description

The Job:

The primary role of the Senior IT Manager is to oversee and maintain all aspects of Convoso's computer infrastructure. This includes implementing and maintaining a secure, reliable IT infrastructure and ensuring high-performance, efficient operations. The IT Manager will be responsible for upgrading and installing new hardware and software solutions, troubleshooting to address any problems with computer systems, and maintaining and securing company IT infrastructure. Overseeing project management and providing technical expertise to support business needs, compliance, and data protection.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Implement and administer IT policy and procedure-related network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup, including business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Manage hardware and software deployment for new hire onboarding and off-boarding process.
  • On-premise/remote troubleshooting of company hardware (laptops/printers/tablets/cellphones) and employee home network/connectivity issues.
  • Administration of Google Workspace and other SaaS tools as necessary (Confluence, Jira, Salesforce, LastPass, etc).
  • Manage VPN Access.
  • Process Improvement, documenting, refining, and optimizing IT processes, including incident management, escalation protocols, service-level agreements and all third-party software, and IT best practices.
  • Researches and evaluates new technologies and assists with negotiating contracts with various vendors.
  • Conduct project management for various IT projects as needed.
  • Manage third-party partners and vendors. 
  • Track and confirm vendor billing for IT spending (licensing, physical inventory, etc.)
  • Perform asset management (hardware and software).
  • Monitor and audit IT Infrastructure system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are:

  • Extensive hands-on experience (3+ years) with administration and configuration of MDM/EDM tools, such as JAMF, Intune, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with Google Workspace, Atlassian (Confluence, Jira), LastPass Enterprise, Jamf
  • 6+ years experience troubleshooting MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices
  • Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of IT Security principles, procedures, and best practices
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and project management skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills; troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks and RF interference diagnosing; LAN support; hardware/software.
  • Ability to work within a set budget and find cost-effective solutions to complex problems

Compensation:

The base salary range is: $130,000 - $160,000.

The Base Pay Range for this position is based on the industry benchmark for position, function, level and the company's compensation strategies. However, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other objective business. Convoso's compensation package also includes equity for all eligible U.S full time roles and exceptional benefits, including generous 401k match.
