Job description

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for providing technical support for various computer systems and software applications in use throughout the hotel. This includes but is not limited to problem determination and trouble shooting networking and personal computer software and hardware. This position also provides support for Systems Operator whenever necessary.

REPORTS TO: Director of IT

SUPERVISES: Information Technology throughout hotel.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: IT Staff, Accounting staff, Department Managers, Executive Committee Members, Sales staff, Catering, Reservations and Front Desk staff.

External: Vendors, Guests, Belz Enterprises IT staff, Corporate staff, other Peabody Hotels' staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
  2. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  3. Anticipate associates' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all associates, however busy and whatever time of day.
  4. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  5. Maintain complete knowledge of computer equipment.
  6. Set up and organize workstation with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; report shortages to supervisor.
  7. Answer telephone according to Peabody Service Excellence
  8. Maintain all network documentation to include all hardware, cabling, software and security.
  9. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
  10. Follow up on problem resolutions with associates and vendors.
  11. Install upgrades and updates to network software.
  12. Install new or replacement computer equipment.
  13. Maintain computer equipment and monitors systems with regard to performance.
  14. Assist management staff with special projects.
  15. Execute all regularly scheduled operations jobs.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Assist Director with all trouble shooting calls from departments
  2. Work with all departments on education needs for different systems
