Job description

Description:

Welcome to an inspired career.

At Halozyme Hypercon™, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc., we are reinventing the patient experience and building the future of drug delivery. We are passionate about the important work we do and constantly strive to do more. We embrace transformation and work hard to innovate for the future. We do this together, as One Team – we rise by lifting others up and believe in the power of working together for the collective win. That’s why we need you—to help us make a significant impact by taking on increasingly complex challenges, leaping beyond the status quo, advancing our mission and making our One Team culture thrive.

Join us as Manager, IT, and you’ll be part of a culture that welcomes diversity, thinks differently to solve problems, works collaboratively as one team, and delivers meaningful innovations that impact people’s lives.

How you will make an impact

Hypercon is seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead technology operations across our two Boston-area locations. As the primary IT partner for both scientific and business teams, you will drive secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that support critical research and day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Halozyme IT team, you'll help shape Hypercon's technology environment while supporting laboratory systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user services in a collaborative and fast-paced setting.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for all IT functions across both Hypercon Boston office locations, providing day-to-day support for end-users, scientific lab systems, and business operations.
  • Manage and maintain hardware, software, network infrastructure, and physical security systems across both facilities.
  • Support laboratory IT needs, including systems used in R&D, instrumentation connectivity, and data integrity workflows.
  • Administer and maintain LAN/WAN networking, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, switches, and site-to-site connectivity between both Hypercon locations and the Halozyme enterprise network.
  • Manage end-user computing environments including device provisioning, imaging, patch management, and software deployment across Windows endpoints.
  • Partner closely with the Halozyme IT team on enterprise initiatives, governance activities, and post-acquisition integration efforts.
  • Manage the IT help desk for both sites, ensuring timely resolution of issues and reporting KPIs to site and Halozyme IT leadership.
  • Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity procedures; manage software licensing, asset inventory, and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure cybersecurity controls are implemented and maintained per Halozyme’s security policies, including endpoint protection, access controls, and vulnerability management.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT management or equivalent role, preferably in a life sciences, pharmaceutical, or R&D environment.
  • Experience supporting scientific laboratory environments and laboratory information systems is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, end-user computing, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and experience working within enterprise ITSM processes.
  • Working knowledge of cGXP requirements and data integrity principles as applied to pharmaceutical R&D environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Travel: May be required up to 10%.

In return, we offer you:

  • Full and comprehensive benefit program, including an Employee Stock Purchase Program and 401(k) matching.
  • Opportunities to grow in a culture that prioritizes learning, development and progression through in-house programs and tuition reimbursement.
  • A collaborative, innovative team that works as one to amplify your impact—on your career, the work you do and patients’ lives.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $116,000 - $162,000 per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
