Overview
Omega Technical Services is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager 4 to support ERP modernization initiatives within a large-scale enterprise transformation program supporting the ERP Modernization Program Office environment at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This role will support the IT workstream associated with ERP implementation and modernization activities impacting finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain, data platforms, integrations, and related IT services.
The selected candidate will provide project management leadership across the full project lifecycle and coordinate activities between IT organizations, business stakeholders, vendors, system integrators, PMO teams, and Organizational Change Management (OCM) teams. This position requires strong technical acumen, ERP modernization experience, and the ability to drive complex technical workstreams to successful completion.
Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities for ERP Modernization IT workstream projects
  • Manage technical ERP project scope including SAP S/4HANA, integrations, data platforms, Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, interfaces, infrastructure dependencies, testing coordination, and technical readiness
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, work packages, resource plans, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports
  • Coordinate activities across IT teams, Finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, cybersecurity, vendors, system integrators, PMO, OCM, and program leadership
  • Track vendor and integrator deliverables and coordinate technical dependencies
  • Identify, track, and resolve project risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items
  • Conduct project meetings and working sessions and ensure follow-through on deliverables
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, procurement, communications, and stakeholder expectations
  • Translate technical information into clear project status updates and communications for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ensure compliance with Laboratory policies, cybersecurity requirements, IT governance standards, and quality expectations
  • Recommend improvements to project management practices, reporting, and delivery processes
  • Maintain required safety and security training and ensure safety and security remain integral to all work activities

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Qualifications
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.
  • Candidate must have an Active DOE Q Clearance or must be able to obtain and maintain one.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 12 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
  • Expert-level experience managing large, complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience supporting ERP modernization or implementation projects, preferably involving SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience managing technical workstreams involving data platforms, integrations, APIs, reporting, cloud platforms, Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, or application dependencies
  • Strong understanding of IT environments including system architectures, infrastructure dependencies, application development methodologies, databases, and integration concepts
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders across IT, Finance, HR, procurement, supply chain, cybersecurity, vendors, and leadership
  • Experience working with vendors and system integrators including deliverable tracking and dependency coordination
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, reporting, and execution capabilities
  • Experience identifying and mitigating project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive complex initiatives to completion in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous DOE/NNSA work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Certified Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master certification
  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or modernization efforts
  • Experience with Databricks, SAP Business Data Cloud, ERP data conversion, analytics, reporting, or integrations
  • Experience supporting PMO governance and executive-level reporting
  • Experience coordinating with Organizational Change Management teams
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs involving Finance, HR, procurement, or supply chain
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments
  • Understanding of federal procurement, cybersecurity, financial management, and compliance requirements
  • Active DOE "Q" Clearance or ability to obtain one

4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week).
