Job description

Job Summary

The IT Product Manager leading the Recurring Sales, Enablement and Effectiveness product team will be responsible for the partnership, road mapping, and delivery of technology services that will enable NetApp's sales organization. The role will report to the IT Director, Sales. 

In addition to serving as a key technology partner and advisor to the Sales organization, the role will also plan, implement, and operate NetApp Sales applications. This role and supporting team will also analyze the needs of the Sales department, establish priorities, provide solution design and implementation of application requirements, provide testing services and technical support for systems, subsystems, distributed systems, and systems software; and operate new and existing systems. 

The Product Manager will manage a team of technology experts and will collaborate with peer managers across geographies and share delivery responsibilities in a matrixed organization. The Product Manager will also be responsible for contributing to program goals, plans and schedules, closely monitoring program execution, driving issue resolution and accepting the responsibility for ensuring successful achievement of program goals. 

Responsibilities

Program & Portfolio Leadership 

  • Lead strategic delivery of GTM application programs focusing on AI solutions, ensuring timely, scoped, and budgeted execution. 
  • Drive portfolio planning, prioritization, and governance aligned with NetApp's AI strategy and operational goals. 
  • Develop program charters, work plans, reporting, and communication to support transformation. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks; manage dependencies and remove obstacles. 

AI First Capability Ownership 

  • Define product vision and roadmaps embedding AI in workflows (e.g., agent assist, intelligent routing, predictive case avoidance). 
  • Collaborate with teams to design scalable AI architectures, including models, data pipelines, governance, and integration. 
  • Promote experimentation and rapid iteration to validate AI use cases with measurable results. 
  • Ensure responsible AI practices: transparency, data governance, security, and performance monitoring. 

Stakeholder & Cross Functional Engagement 

  • Partner with leadership, IT, Data & AI teams, and process owners to align requirements and establish AI-enabled workflows. 
  • Facilitate communication across business and technical teams for alignment and clarity. 
  • Provide transparent updates, insights, escalations, and recommendations to senior leadership. 
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement. 
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, best practices, and compliance. 
  • Use analytics and metrics to optimize delivery and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Support transformation initiatives like proactive support tiering, AI integration, real-time dashboards, and enhanced customer experience. 

Change Management & Communication 

  • Develop and execute change management and communication plans for transformation adoption. 
  • Prepare leadership communications, training materials, and stakeholder briefings. 
Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of IT experience with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. 
  • Must have extensive knowledge of key sales capabilities such as Opportunity Management, Deal Registration, Channel and Partner Enablement, Account Management, Pipeline Management and Intelligence, etc. 
  • Experience working with Sales Applications such as Salesforce, Oracle CPQ, Anaplan, Analytics Platforms.
  • Strong business partnership experience required, with proven track record of successfully driving cross functional initiatives and projects. Ability to present ideas, design and solutions to business and IT stakeholders.
  • Development and operations experience in complex matrixed organization with multiple stakeholder teams is necessary. 
  • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, Middleware, Cloud computing, DevOps, API Management and IT business models. 
  • Prior experience working at a cloud company is preferred. 
  • Business domain background with a proven track record of partnering with the sales function. 
  • Experience managing IT operating budgets and managing the Annual Operating Plans. 
  • A proven track record of championing and managing multiple projects thru the initiation phases and all the IT and enterprise governance processes, Ability to balance. 
  • Strong understanding of IT project/program methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe). 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. 
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Demonstrated success driving strategic initiatives in fast paced environments. 
  • Hands on expertise deploying agentic and generative AI use cases. 
  • Familiarity with AI platforms such as Agentforce, Gemini, OpenAI, the Microsoft Copilot stack, or similar enterprise AI ecosystems. 
Education
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent is required 

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 170,000 - 253,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU's), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
