Job description

Job Title: Sr. Desktop Support / Jr. Network System Engineer
Location: Harrisburg, PA - 17111 (Onsite & Hybrid)
Duration: Direct Hire

Experience: Minimum 3+ years
Top Must Have s:
- 3 5+ years of hands-on IT experience in desktop support, technical support, systems support, network support, or a related position.
- Provide Level II technical support for users across warehouse and office environments.
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals, operating systems, and business applications.
- Support and troubleshoot warehouse technology including handheld devices, RF/scanning devices, workstations, and other connected devices.
- Support thermal printers, label printers, barcode printers, and other warehouse printing technologies.
- Troubleshoot print server, print queue, driver, hardware, application, and network printing issues.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity issues.
- Perform network troubleshooting involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, switch ports, and general connectivity.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity and wireless device issues throughout the warehouse environment.
- Support and troubleshoot Meraki switching infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:
Strong Level II troubleshooting experience supporting Windows desktops, laptops, applications, printers, peripherals, and mobile/handheld devices.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including:
o TCP/IP
o DNS
o DHCP
o Ethernet
o Switching
o Wi-Fi
o Network connectivity troubleshooting
Ability to troubleshoot basic switching and wireless connectivity issues.
Experience supporting network-connected printers and enterprise printing environments.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
Ability to independently resolve technical issues and appropriately escalate more complex problems.
Ability to work effectively within a small IT team and support multiple areas of technology.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to participate in after-hours/on-call support and provide onsite support when required.
