Job description

The Opportunity

The Ottawa Senators are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented professional to join us as an IT Support Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity to join an NHL franchise in an area behind the scenes which will allow the candidate to become fully engaged in the business of a major league sports team.

The successful candidate will be passionate about providing great desktop support to internal stakeholders, as well as taking ownership of driving improvements to our current IT processes and helping to improve fan experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to desktop IT support tickets (O365, network issues, system access, software installation, etc.).
  • Providing on-site support to multiple locations including Canadian Tire Centre, Bell, Richcraft and Cavanagh Sensplexes.
  • Hands on experience with laptop and desktop repair.
  • Supporting Manager, IT Operations in implementation of IT Roadmaps.
  • Suggesting improvements to information security, privacy, and operations.
  • Providing support for critical game day systems (after hours and weekends as needed).
  • Ensuring on-site hardware operates optimally and responds to unplanned outages as per business continuity requirements.
  • Manage and mentor junior IT support staff including co-op students.
  • Always be a welcoming a supporting source of help for your colleagues.
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders in Hockey Operations and Business Operations.
  • Staying up to date with new technologies and industry developments.
  • Ensuring that IT and Security Policies are enforced.
  • Keep system and network documentation up to date.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and tasks.


Qualifications (what we look for)

  • Possess a college diploma or equivalent.
  • Have strong experience in the IT Industry, especially end-user support (3 to 5 years).
  • Demonstrate strong experience in supporting the Microsoft stack.
  • Are a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Have an empathetic personality.
  • Have proven customer service skills.
  • Have superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Show the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Can think on your feet and outside the box.
  • Can utilize developed troubleshooting skills.

This role falls within a base salary range of $45,700 to $70,000 annually, consistent with the organization's established salary ranges. Salary ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to market data, internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skillset.
