Job description

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for activities relating to the day-to-day operational performance for technical functions. The IT Manager will manage Thunderbird Entertainment Center computer platforms and develop system and network maintenance and growth plans. The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring continuity of computer services for computer users throughout the organization through planning, technical expertise, and project coordination. The Manager will work necessary hours appropriate to meet the needs of users, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Performs supervisory responsibilities associated with the IT department including employee related issues.
  • Ensures development and implementation of IT procedures and software are effective and cost effective for the business
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with contractors, vendors, equipment suppliers, management, and team members
  • Enforces company policies and procedures as a member of management
  • Adheres to current trends and developments in MIS technology and remains highly technical competent with all levels of data processing
  • Manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, bandwidth usage and monitor system response time to maintain operating efficiency
  • Review staffs conduct in relation to data security and protection
  • Maintains application security, event investigation and compliance enforcement
  • Deploy, maintain and upgrade all IT infrastructure and equipment
  • Assist with disaster recovery procedures
  • Maintains high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • VM Ware virtual and physical sever management experience required
  • SQL database knowledge is a plus, SOPHOS Endpoint security, Mitel VOIP, Cisco/Aruba switches, HP/ Dell server environment, Office 2010/MSO 2016, Sunview HD management
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with budget preparation and analyzing a variety of reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; skill in working in an environment subject to constant interruptions and quickly changing priorities; ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities when necessary; effective time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of the operation of a variety of computer software and hardware, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting methods, upgrading software programs and managing computer platforms
  • Knowledge of general management principles and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and the public, both in person and through phone, e-mail and written correspondence.
  • Ability to learn quickly, self-leader with initiative, highly flexible and comfortable in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to train, instruct and supervise a variety of employees at all levels.
  • Skill in researching, developing and preparing or outsourcing IT activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervisory responsibilities for IT staff i.e. (virtual/physical servers, core switch, cabling, support multiple programs of entire company

Physical Demands

  • Required to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
  • Ability to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.

Work Environment

  • Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
  • Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
  • Noise level can be minimal to intense.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Oklahoma drivers license
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent (or combination of education and experience).
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology.
  • 5-7 years progressive IT experience.
  • Must be able to pass an OSBI background check and obtain an ASTGC gaming license.
